We have 1 month and 20 days before we leave the state of Georgia forever (hopefully). I can honestly say I never want to live here again. Did not want to live here in the first place, and perhaps that is why I have such a distaste for the place. In 1 month and 20 days, my family and I will begin the long journey of moving to Alaska. Almost end to end within the continent. I am to say the least excited beyond belief. It has been a long time in coming my husband.he tried for years to get this assignment and finally it happened.
This is what my blog is going to be about, what happens during a crazy move across the country and what will I am sure seem like half way across the globe. I probably forgot to mention we are driving the distance. There are four of us My hubs, Me, Our Son, Our Daughter and two fur babies Izzabella and Bailey (cats). They are part of the reason why we are driving. Not sure they would live to make it out of the belly of the plane and I would seriously hate for anything to happen to them.
Back story: My hubs is Air Force and has been for 23 years, I am currently a stay at home/housekeeper/guard of all things Burton, Our Son is currently in College studying business, and Our Daughter is a high school junior. My hubs at this moment is stationed in Korea and has been there since last March. It has been a very long remote tour.
Let's get started on making this move, the fun activity for today is cleaning out the cabinets in the living room and dining room. We have to make sure we fall within the weight limits of household goods or we will have to pay out of pocket..so what better time to purge than NOW! And do not fear anything of interest will be posted.
Now that you know a little about us I hope you enjoy the ride as we show the crazy side to our life and move.
